Ok, let's be reasonable here. It's a stray kitten. You found it on the street. You have no idea where it's been or what kind of a disease it could carry. And your mother or step mother could actually be allergic to cat's hair.
I understand that you feel alone and need a friend, but try not to get so upset over this.
When you're of legal age and can move out, you can have as many animals as you want.
In the mean time, try to compromise. Ask them if it's possible to get a smaller pet, preferably one that won't roam all over the house and leave hair for your parents to vacuum, like maybe a fish or a hamster. Hamsters are nice. They don't take up much space and you can still pet them.
It would also be a good idea to try and befriend a human being. They're much better you know. They can actually respond to your every word so you don't feel like a lunatic talking to no one else except your pet.

Man up, it's a kitten. Everyone can make friends if they put to the back of their minds their fears and dive in. It's not that hard when you put a good amount of effort in (and yes, some have to put in more effort than others, but isn't it worth it when you can have human companionship rather than a scroungy old piece of fluff?).
Guys, be nice to OP...
