Hello loves! How have you guys been? I've got a couple of announcements to make, so lets get started.

2) I have other, INCREDIBLE news... This is probably one of the most exciting things that have ever happened to me. We have been offered a book deal for GivesMeHope.com. A full color, 6x6 book featuring GMH image stories. These are some examples of the stories that will be in the book:
So as you guys can probably imagine. I'm PSYCHED about this :)! Putting the book together and working with our graphic designers to turn the stories into image is going to be a lot of hard work, but i'm ridiculous excited :).
3) So its halfway into november and my layout is still halloween themed.... yeah.... I'll try to put up a christmas themed banner sometime soon :)!

Hi everyone! Wow, its been a long time since I last blogged... tsk tsk... Shame on me. Let me update you guys with some of the stuff that's been going on in my life.
First let me give a big shout out to givesmehope.com, one of the other websites I run. This past week we reached two very exciting milestones for the site.
1) Givesmehope's tumblr account is now the 54th most popular tumblelog on tumblr. VERY VERY exciting news :)! When we first started out we weren't even ranked... tee hee. Here's a little screenshot I took to show you guys
2) Yesterday I received a e-mail saying "Facebook Warning". Needless to say I was pretty scared, until I opened it up and realized that it was actually GOOD NEWS. I'll show you a screen-shot of the alert I got from facebook. It's basically saying that I'm listed as the admin of a site with many fans & must confirm affiliation with the site before I post more stories on the fanpage. Knowing that GivesMeHope.com is now big enough that facebook cares about us gives me hope! ^____^
3) And even more news! Quick shout out to my hosteeBridget who is back after a short hiatus with a brand new layout. It looks fantastic girl!
4) My other hostee Ferny has a new layout that is magical. You should go check it out and leave her a tag.
5) My new affie Rebecca also has a new layout that is carnival themed. It's incredibly cute, you should visit her as well.
6) Finally (and some of the most exciting news!) My best friend Anafer is visiting me from Ecuador. She's staying with us until December and I couldn't be more excited :)! We've seen a lot of movies, went to the Chicago Shedd Aquarium, played a lot of games, etc. It's been so much fun!

1) Despite all my tweets and announcements about what I was going to dress up as Halloween, I ran out of time and I'm ashamed to admit that I just ended up recycling last year's costume... I dressed up as a candy corn witch. Very unoriginal I must say... oh well...
2) The snail still doesn't have a name. The only thing that we've determined is that A) Its a male snail and B) Whenever I hug it, I call it Mr. Shnail. Don't ask, I've got no clue how that happened. Thanks for all your suggestions guys! The name is still out there, and i'm still searching :)!
3) What did you guys do for halloween? I went trick or treating with Emerson's younger brother. He was dressed like a space ninja (which was really cute), Emerson went as Twitter, and I dressed up like a cow. I wore a GIANT cow costume and three sweaters underneath it (it was cold outside). The cool thing is that I'm really short, so I actually looked like a cow. I don't have a picture with me, but if I get my hands on one i'll post it surely!
That night I also went to a party with my friends, and my favorite part was seeing what everyone else dressed up as. My favorite was probably this girl wearing pink tights, pink shoes and a pink dress. She had a headband with a flip-flop on her head.... can you guess what she was?

It was incredibly clever.

The other day I decided to treat myself to something special, so I bought myself this plushie from www.squishable.com, and it is the absolute CUTEST plushie I have ever owned (that might be a bold claim... I like how i get better and better, and its only been a few months since i have been hosted! Its really fun to make little graphics. Its uber fun.

Hi Everyone! Long time no blog. I've been pretty sick the past couple of days so I had absolutely no motivation to blog or do anything at Daily Cute :(. I did however, watch too many movies, since that's the only thing that sounds appealing when you are sick and have a fever.
The good news it that I'm back! and ready to start blogging again! My friend Lien @ Hushstar did this type of blog the other day, so I decided to give it a try to. This is a blog where you guys get to ask me any questions about... pretty much anything :)! Life, school, work, hobbies, friends, family etc. This is your chance to really get to know me better. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
I'm gonna have to go with chocolate cookie dough. No matter what brand it is, cookie dough always tastes FANTASTIC! It's probably got something with the fact that whenever I bake, I always eat half of the batter before it even goes in the oven. lol n___n
Do you like anime shows? If so, what's your favorite one?
I used to LOVE watching anime shows. I would do it religiously after I got back from school. Once I got to college though, I didn't have any time to watch any of the shows I was into, so I stopped watching altogether. My all time favorite show is Inuyasha, followed closely by Card Captor Sakura, Ranma 1/2 & Yu Yu Hakusho.
What got you interested in making a website?
When I was 12, I was pretty bored, and I was really into Pokemon. I thought it would be cool if I could create a website for my favorite two pokemon, mew & mewtwo. I started my very first website on a free host called Expage (it doesn't exist anymore). Eventually when Expage became too restricting I learned HTML and moved off to Angelfire, a good free web hosting alternative at the time.
Do you collect anything?
I collect a couple of things. My largest one is an owl figurine collection. Owls used to be my favorite animal when I was a little girl so whenever I went to visit a new city or country I would search around everywhere to find an owl figurine to add to my collection. I currently have over 30 owls. I also collect magnets of all places I go and I put them up on my fridge :)
What's your favorite food in da WHOLE WIDE WORLD?
That's TOUGH to answer... See... I love food too much... Lol! but if I HAD to pick one thing, it would probably be sushi. All kinds of sushi :)! I can't get enough of it n__n

I adore it. One of the websites that I used to have when I was younger was a portfolio of all the things I drew. I especially like drawing chibi (cute) anime characters, since I was really into anime when I was younger :)
What kind of movies do you like?
I honestly love watching all sorts of movies. I'm not too picky about genre, but my preference is usually comedy. I also really like action movies and horror movies. My best friend Anafer and I are on a constant quest to find the scariest movies. We've found some pretty good ones so far :)
What's your favorite animal?
Like I mentioned above, it used to be the owl. I still really like them, but honestly I think my favorite animal now is the Chichilla! I've completely fallen in love with Zoe, and I think no other animal can rival its cuteness!
What's your favorite show?
Its a close match between two. My favorite show today is Family Guy, because no other show can make me laugh as much as that show does! I've watched every single episode, and most episodes I've seen twice or three times. Before Family Guy however, I would have to say Inuyasha takes the credit for being the show that I followed religiously, until cartoon network took it down! (cries u___u;)
What did you major in in college?
I majored in Management Consulting and minored in International Business.
What's your favourite drink?
I'm gonna have to go with, the fruit smoothies at Orange Julius. Specifically the banana strawberry smoothie. YUM!
What's your favourite music genre & band?
I like all types of music! My favorites though are probably the songs that are currently on the radio, because I spend a lot of time in the car! My favorite artist is Taylor Swift :)! All her stories really speak to me and I can't WAIT to see her in concert someday!
What's your absolute favorite film?
It's really hard to choose one film, but i'd probably go with Spirited Away. Its a Hayao Miyazaki movie that is absolutely fantastic for any age group. Its rated a 97% on rotten tomatoes. Check it out here.
What's your job, and do you enjoy it?
I just graduated from the University of Notre Dame in may of this year. I've been working full time with Emerson (my fiance), on my other two websites. They are GivesMeHope.com and Givoogle.com. I absolutely LOVE my job. Self employed! We get to make our own schedule (even though we're very hard working, so we don't really take days off on weekends), and I get to work on web programming/managing! (something that started out as a hobby and I've been doing since I was 12)!
If you could go on a date with any celebrity, who would it be?
Well, the celebrity that I would like the meet the most is actually Taylor Swift. I think she's an amazing girl who is so passionate about what she does, and RIDICULOUSLY talented. So I guess it would be more like getting coffee than an actual date. lol!
Any advice for girls with websites?
Put a lot of work into it and keep the content original! Sometimes it's really hard to think of new things to do on a website, but sometimes you can do things with a spin! Like a SOTM competition with interviews, special adoptables, creative contests, etc! People will surely keep coming back :)!
Do you like Pirates of the Caribbean?
Love it! My favorite movie was the first one, although I really liked the second and third too!
What would be the one thing you would save if your house was on fire?
Ever since I have Zoe the answer is definitely, her and her cage! Before that though, it would DEFINITELY be my macbook. Can't live without it!

One of the coolest things that ever happened to me was when I was 6 years old. We were in a cruise of the Caribbean islands, and the cruise had a casino. I was playing in one of the slot machines, when suddenly I hit all lucky 777's! I won 500 dollars in QUARTERS! To this day I can still hear the coins raining down!
What are your favorite books? (besides HP)
Snap! Harry Potter is my favorite series! Apart from HP, these are up there: Lord of the Rings, Pride and Prejudice, Hamlet, To kill a Mockingbird.

What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
I'm gonna have to go with chocolate cookie dough. No matter what brand it is, cookie dough always tastes FANTASTIC! It's probably got something with the fact that whenever I bake, I always eat half of the batter before it even goes in the oven. lol n___n
Do you like anime shows? If so, what's your favorite one?
I used to LOVE watching anime shows. I would do it religiously after I got back from school. Once I got to college though, I didn't have any time to watch any of the shows I was into, so I stopped watching altogether. My all time favorite show is Inuyasha, followed closely by Card Captor Sakura, Ranma 1/2 & Yu Yu Hakusho.
What got you interested in making a website?
When I was 12, I was pretty bored, and I was really into Pokemon. I thought it would be cool if I could create a website for my favorite two pokemon, mew & mewtwo. I started my very first website on a free host called Expage (it doesn't exist anymore). Eventually when Expage became too restricting I learned HTML and moved off to Angelfire, a good free web hosting alternative at the time.
Do you collect anything?
I collect a couple of things. My largest one is an owl figurine collection. Owls used to be my favorite animal when I was a little girl so whenever I went to visit a new city or country I would search around everywhere to find an owl figurine to add to my collection. I currently have over 30 owls. I also collect magnets of all places I go and I put them up on my fridge :)
What's your favorite food in da WHOLE WIDE WORLD?
That's TOUGH to answer... See... I love food too much... Lol! but if I HAD to pick one thing, it would probably be sushi. All kinds of sushi :)! I can't get enough of it n__n

Hi Everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in so long. I was away for the weekend and only had my phone for internet access so I couldn't update DC. I have been updating my twitter (from my phone though) so a lot of you probably know I was at the Purdue vs. Notre Dame game. Btw... if you don't have twitter, you should get it. It is a free visual bookmark service, where you "heart" your favorite images, and the website bookmarks them for you. You can follow your friends, see what they are "hearting", and get a lot of inspiration from the beautiful images.
After all my online friends signed up, I felt compelled to give it a try, and I must say that I ♥ the website too :). I found an this breathtaking image, which is now my new Facebook picture. Something about it so enticing. If you want to follow me at We♥it, my username is gabymontero

Hi Everyone! I decided that its time to bring some contests and new activities to DC, which is the reason DailyCute is having its first ever Site of the Month contest! This SOTM has many prizes though :)! The winner of the SOTM will win three things:
1. Their site will be featured for an entire month here at DailyCute in a "Spotlight On" box.
2. The winner will get an online interview that will be displayed here at Daily Cute! (unless you request not to, that is). The interview will be a mix of website/personal questions, like the site's history, future plans for the site, personal interests, hobbies, etc.
3. A custom Panda Siggy for your site, message board, etc! This one has my name on it, but I can change the color and size for your name :)
I think this is a nice way to make SOTM more personal, and to actually get to know our SOTM winners better!
